The Thunder Mountain High School boys basketball team went to overtime with the Barrow Whalers Friday, but were outscored 10-3 in extra time to ultimately fall in their first game at the Dimond Prep Shootout in Anchorage.
The Falcons lost 63-70 while going 7 for 20 in 3-point shooting on the game.
Senior guard Chase Saviers led his team in defeat with 22 points on four 3-pointers, three field goals and a 4-for-5 performance from the line. Riley Olsen followed with 16 and both Noah Reishus-O’Brien and John Morris added 10.
Anthony Fruean scored 23 points for the Whalers, with Travis Adams putting up 17.
