Registration for 2016/2017 Parks and Recreation youth basketball season is open and runs through Nov. 23. Youth ages 5-14 are welcome to join.
The program costs $55 for 7-14 year olds and $35 for 5-6 year olds with a late fee of $10 assessed after Nov. 23. Registrations forms can be found on the Parks and Rec website at http://www.juneau.org/parkrec/youth/y-bball.php
Preseason practices start Jan. 7 with the season running Jan. 14 through March 11. Age divisions are 7-8, 9-11 and 12-14.
The 5 and 6-year-old Pee Wee division will run for six weeks with one session every week from Jan. 14 through Feb. 18. Parks and Rec’s volunteer coordinators need assistance running the sessions.
