Player of the Week: Taylor Bentley

She excels playing in Ketchikan.

Taylor Bentley is the Juneau Empire’s player of the week.

Entering Thursday, the Juneau-Douglas High School sophomore is tied for the most points on the girls soccer team, having scored or assisted in all three games this season.

The midfielder’s play has been lights out in Ketchikan, where her team was last weekend. In four games at Esther Shea Field, Bentley has six goals and 10 assists, all four wins. In last Saturday’s 7-0 victory, Bentley and her older sister, Michaela, scored all but one of the team’s goals.
