The Southeast Alaska Land Trust is hosting the first annual Sasquatch Scramble 5K & Fun Run on Saturday.
The 5-kilometer race will begin at 3 p.m. near the Eaglecrest Ski Area lodge and take contestants around the lower loop Nordic ski trails.
A 100-yard dash will begin at 3:05 p.m. in the same area for snowshoers aged 12 or younger.
Pre-registration is $20 and available through the Southeast Alaska Land Trust website, Foggy Mountain Shop and Nugget Alaskan Outfitters. Race-day registration is $25 and will begin at 2 p.m. near the lodge. All fun-run participants race for free.
Foggy Mountain and NAO are offering half off snowshoe rentals for the event. For more information, call 586-3100.
