The Crimson Bears softball team took Sitka down 11-3 on Friday, helped largely by a 6-run second inning. With the win, Juneau-Douglas High School improved their record to 7-5 on the season.
Sophomore Leah Spargo led the way from the plate with two hits at two at-bats for two RBIs. Senior Quincy Bates added two RBIs of her own while going 2-4 at the plate.
Bates led from the mound with four strikeouts and one earned run in four innings pitched.
