Those on the fence for attending the Alaska International Senior Games are running out of time.
The registration for the Games, which take place Aug. 9-18 in Fairbanks, closes at midnight on Thursday. The registration fee is $55 for ages 50-89, and free for those 90 or older. Attendees can register for multiple events, although there is some overlap between certain events.
Gold, silver and bronze medals are awarded for men and women in five-year age divisions, starting with the age division 50-54.
The following sports will be played at the games: archery, basketball, bocce, bowling, cycling, disc golf, golf, horseshoes, ice hockey, indoor shooting, pickleball, power walk, racquetball, running, swimming, table tennis, team toss, tennis, track and field, trap shooting and triathlon.
