The Juneau Soccer Club and Juneau Parks &Recreation are teaming up for two youth soccer clinics in July.
The “Wee” soccer camps, open to ages 5-7, will take place July 10-14 at both Adair-Kennedy Field and Juneau-Douglas High School (campers choose one location). The cost is $85 and includes a soccer ball and T-shirt.
The following week, July 17-21, the same camp will be offered for ages 7-13 at Adair-Kennedy Field. The camp will run from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. each day. The cost is $110 and also includes a soccer ball and T-shirt. Camp director Matt Dusenberry, along with JSC age group coaches, current high school players and Juneau collegiate players will serve as instructors.
The JSC soccer camps teach basic soccer skills and team play in a “positive teaching and learning environment.”
“Our goals are to teach and instruct, but also and more importantly, to provide a fun and exciting soccer atmosphere at camp,” the registration form states.
