Softball all-stars vanquished by Ketchikan

The Gastineau Channel Little League all-star majors and juniors softball teams took to the road this week in an attempt to seize the Southeast crown from the Ketchikan Little League all-stars. Both teams played a five-game series with Ketchikan.

The 11- and 12-year-old majors division all-stars lost in four games to Ketchikan on Tuesday while the 13- and 14-year-old juniors fell in five games. Ketchikan hosted the juniors state Little League championship this week, falling to Nunaka Valley Little League in three games.

The majors championship between Ketchikan and Abbott-O-Rabbit Little League (South Anchorage) take place this weekend in Ketchikan.
