Fall adult volleyball season is just around the corner, but the City and Borough of Juneau Parks & Recreation is still looking for officials.
“We have people that move in and out of town a lot so we lose a lot of people that way,” Parks & Recreation adult sports manager Dave Pusich said.
The department strives to maintain an officiating pool of between eight and 10 people working the lower-division games.
The men’s league supports play at Divisions 1-3 and the women’s league supports play at Divisions 1-4. A total of 46 teams registered this season for the two-month long season that begins Sept. 5.
Prior volleyball experience is desired but not required. Officials are paid $15 per match.
