The Oct. 3 election is quickly approaching, but Juneau voters still have plenty of time to get to know their candidates.
In an event moderated by the Empire and KTOO, all 10 candidates in the municipal election will take the stage at KTOO on Monday, Sept. 25 for the final public candidate forum.
The three Board of Education candidates, vying for two open spots, will field questions from 5-6 p.m. After a 15-minute break, the seven Assembly candidates will file on stage for a forum that runs from 6:15-7:15 p.m. The seven candidates are battling for three open seats.
Both the Empire and KTOO will provide a live stream of the event on their websites and on Facebook. The Board of Education debate will be aired on the radio at 7 p.m. and the Assembly forum will be on air at 8 p.m. Community members are welcome to attend the event for free, and there will be a way for attendees to submit questions for consideration. The KTOO studio is located at 360 Egan Drive.
